About Me…
After a 56 year hiatus, I picked up a paintbrush once again and found a calling from my soul, one I had ignored and neglected. A gift of this calling has been that I now see so many more colors than have been available to me for decades; I’ve always relished the colors of my world, and now, I have so many more wonderful hues dancing around anything that catches my eye.
While I have always had a strong creative side in my approach to the meanderings of my days, it was more how I looked at things or applied them to strategies in my daily life. More recently, I feel threads of creativity in my expressive side, too. It seems a door has been cracked, one I didn’t realize had been closed.
Having been an educator for decades, I am still blessed to work with kids who need guidance to access their gifts and stronger pathways, in order to tackle the more challenging things that lie in front of them. I love having youth in my life. I have been blessed with my two wonderful, adult children, my greatest teachers; as well as my treasured Grandies, sprinkled in.
I love long walks, in the mountains, along the beach, wherever my feet take me. I love sunsets. I relish time with people I cherish. I love a good book, hot tea, and swimming laps outside in the winter, as snowflakes kiss my cheek when I turn my head to catch a breath. And I am so grateful for my sidekick Sophie, my 7th, four-legged Golden Girl, who happily travels at my side, adding joy and accompaniment to my days.
